Our Governing Body
Andy Moyle - (Chair) Trust - Andy has lived in King's Lynn for seven years, having moved to start The Gateway Church. He became a parent governor while his children were at Gaywood, to help with the strategic oversight of the school. Andy took over as chair in September 2015. Andy is regularly in school to meet with to pupils and staff to ensure children get the best primary education experience and opportunities possible.
Andy enjoys webdesign, running and making pizza in his outdoor pizza oven. He says that he needs the running to counteract the pizzas!
Toby Cowper - Trust - Toby become a governor at Gaywood Primary School in the hope that he could help make a difference for all of the children. With a daughter who attends the school, the development of this community asset is something Toby feels strongly about. In his working life, Toby is a Certified Public Financial Accountant (CPFA) working for the local Borough Council and has previous experience working on school financing. In his private life Toby enjoys building/restoring cars and taking part in European endurance driving events.
Dave Crook - Trust - David has served as a governor of the School for the past eight years. During this time he has undertaken a variety of responsibilities. During his forty years service in education he held range of teaching and management roles in various parts of the country. Prior to his retirement he served for twelve years as Deputy Principal to one of the largest further education colleges in the Eastern Region.
Carolyn Paterson - Trust
Iain Taylor - Trust - Iain is a local businessman who has worked in the area for over fourteen years. His eldest daughter attended the school and his youngest is there now and being a governor has meant that he can give something back to the school and its pupils.
Helen Payne - Staff Governor - Helen has worked at Gaywood Primary for nine years and has worked in a wide range of different schools, starting her career in London. Helen loves working at Gaywood Primary as says that she finds the children, staff and parents to be very friendly and supportive. Helen is looking forward to the challenges and opportunities this role of staff governor brings. She loves working with children and wants to do whatever is in her power to ensure them the best start in life.
Carly West-Burnham - Parent Governor - Carly has recently been appointed as a Parent Governor at Gaywood Primary. Her desire to be involved with the school stems from the belief that all stakeholders have a role to play in ensuring that all children get the best education and opportunities whilst at school to enable them to grow, develop and reach their potential. Carly has two daughters currently in the school and lives and works locally.
