Gaywood Community Primary School opened in September 2000 after an amalgamation between Rosebery Avenue First School and Gaywood Junior School, and caters for boys and girls, aged 4-ll years of age. At present, there are 417 children on roll. We have fourteen classrooms, a music mobile, a library, a hall with fixed apparatus, a Key Stage 1 carpeted hall and an ICT suite. Gaywood Community Primary School is set in spacious grounds with two playgrounds and a large playing field.

Class teachers are responsible for ensuring the welfare of all of the children and delivery of the curriculum. Work is planned jointly across teaching team with close communication and support from our teaching assistant team. Planning and delivery draws upon the strengths, skills and knowledge within the year group teams to ensure lessons are exciting and well matched to the needs of the children.

Our annual Published Admission Number for Reception is 60 but each year we are heavily oversubscribed as competition for places is high. Applications for admission into Reception need to be made directly to Norfolk County Council. Further details can be found by visiting:
